The Artist is not a special kind of person; rather each person is a special kind of artist. - Coomaraswamy

NHS ART IN ACTION CLUB
is a service-based group of artists who create works that benefit our school and local community. In the process they have fun, earn service hours and get to collaborate with local groups and artists.
Schedule Tuesdays 3:40-4:40 Biweekly
HOPELINK
Artists created and donated paintings to the Hopelink organization. The paintings are hung in housing developments to beautify the environment for the residents.
SEATTLE HUMANE
Artists visited the Seattle Humane and toured the facility to see how the corporation helps animals and pet owners. While touring, they took pictures of elderly and or special needs creatures. Artists painted their  subjects to bring attention to the organization and the animals. Works were displayed at the facility and later auctioned off to benefit the organization.
SCHOOL MURALS
Artists have been collaborating with ASB on designs for a school mural in order to connect and beautify our community at Newport.
HAPPY TREES OIL PAINTING
The Artists hosted an evening of painting and food for students, staff and community members.
ANIMATION PROJECT
Artists work collaboratively to create a motion animation for school use.
FUN AND RELAXING STUDIO TIME
At times of high stress the art in action club provides a fun and friendly environment for artists to work together, or alone, on smaller art projects.
